Unique Uses for Plastic Table Covers

When thinking of uses for plastic table covers, the obvious uses come to mind like covering a table for a birthday celebration, wedding reception or banquet. There are some other uses that many not be as readily thought of.

Some of the unique uses that I have found that are somewhat out of the ordinary, like are using a plastic table cover as a curtain. Depending on the quality and thickness of the plastic, they work well for blocking out light or just obscuring the view of people who may be passing by the window. Also, they are disposable in the event that you like to change up your bathroom décor often.

Another use for a plastic tablecloth is to protect sensitive equipment when painting. While there are drop cloths made especially for this purpose, plastic table covers work just as well in a pinch. And again, they are generally disposable, so when the painting is finished you can just roll them up and throw them away. This is a great reason to recycle them after your initial use.

Plastic tablecloths also work well to protect items that need to be stored outside. Putting a plastic table cover over your outdoor project overnight ensures that it will be protected from the weather. Also in the event of an outdoor sale, protecting your wares overnight with a disposable tablecloth keeps them dry and protects them from the elements.

Mechanics can use plastic table covers in a pinch to protect the vehicle they are working on from getting dirty from the grease and chemicals under the hood. They can also be placed on the fender of the vehicle to protect it from scratches when the mechanic must lean over into the engine compartment to do repairs.
