This is in celebration of the last few days of bachelorhood before the man takes on new responsibilities that come with marriage. Stag parties are known differently in different countries like bachelor parties in New Zealand and bull's parties in South Africa. Regardless of the names, the main idea is to give the husband-to-be the last opportunity to indulge in pleasures that are forbidden post marriage. Stag parties can be for a single day or can carry on over the weekend too.
