Shut Down the Video Games - Cornhole Awaits

Keeping kids busy these days can be a challenge, or it could be quite simple, really. Many parents have taken to video games for their kids because it's an easy way to have peace and quiet for a few minutes, or more. The problem is that those few minutes will add up to hours and then the hours will become days and weeks and months. Before you know it, your kid will be playing video games more than they do any other activity and that is neither good for their mental health nor their physical well-being.

There's a solution

It may simply be easier to ignore children who are playing videos games than to worry about entertaining them outside, but it doesn't have to be that way, nor should it. There is a simple solution that will get your kids outside and away from the addiction of video games and that solution is called the cornhole game.

Cornhole is an outdoor game that can bring kids out from their dark caves with the simple, mind-numbing doldrums of video games into the world of vibrant life and physical activity. Of course, cornhole isn't going to help anyone get into any real shape physically, but it is exercise on some level, and any exercise is better than no exercise at all, right?

Play with family, play with friends

The cornhole game can be played with family or friends or both at the same time. It's such a versatile game that it doesn't matter who you're playing against, the odds of success are pretty evenly matched, all things being equal, that is. Cornhole is simple to get the hang of; all you have to do is learn to toss a bean bag approximately twenty-seven feet to one of two cornhole boards and try to get them into a six inch hole located toward the back of the board.

It's that simple. Even if the bean bag doesn't make it into the hole, the next best thing is to try and keep the bag on the board. And what makes the game even more fun to play against friends and family members is that if your opponent has a bean bag on the board, resting precariously on the edge, you can also try to knock it off, or use their bean bag as a backstop the try and put yours in the hole.
