Tips On Purchasing A HDTV For The Bedroom

If you are wondering, why there is a difference between purchasing a HDTV for the bedroom than other rooms there are several differences to compare. The viewing angle, the size, plasma vs. LCD, the space you have and more.

First, the viewing angle while lying in bed is certainly different from the viewing angle that is needed for the entire family to enjoy a movie. When looking for a HDTV for the entire family, you must ensure that no matter where someone sits in the room, they will be able to see a crisp clear image, in the bedroom you only need to view the screen from the bed, in most cases.

What this means is that you can even purchase a plasma set for the bedroom, as you will be able to view the screen easily as it will be front of you instead of at an angle. On the other hand, if you are going to position the HDTV in the corner and you will be watching from an angle, then you need an LCD. Plasma TV's will not be as clear from an angle as an LCD.

You must also look at the distance you will be viewing from to ensure you purchase the right size set. The best viewing options are 1/3 the size of the set. Therefore, if you purchase a 25 inch HDTV, the best viewing is just a tad over 8 feet.

You should also decide the space you have and if you should mount the HDTV on the wall, place it on the dresser, or if you will need to purchase a stand for the TV set.
