Turn Brutal Blizzards Into Family Fun Days
If you live in a location where snowstorms are common then you know first hand how several inches of snow or more, can bring a city to a stand still. Severe snowstorms can really cause a major inconvenience for a lot of people. However, with a little imagination you can turn those brutal blizzards into family fun days.
With roadways blocked most small business are forced to temporarily close their doors, schools shuts down, public transportation is considerably slow if not completely halted & airports cancel their flights. When weather conditions like those arise, people have no choice but to stay indoors. For some people it can feel like being imprisoned in your own home but it doesn't have to.
There are a number of different things that you can do to pass the time. How about catching up on your favorite movie or finding a warm and cozy place to drink a hot mug of cocoa or tea and finishing that book that you've been meaning to get to. Perhaps you and your family might enjoy a friendly game of Monopoly or maybe Scrabble. If board games aren't your preference then you can always play some fun interactive video games like the Nintendo Wii or Xbox Kinect.
Once the storm passes and the worst is finally over you and your family can go outside and go sledding or build a snowman! Now what little kid doesn't what to build a snowman? What's that you say...you don't have kids & will feel embarrassed if you build a snowman. Nonsense! We can all tap into our inner child and pretend like we're off from school on a snow day.
