Buy a Flat Screen TV and Upgrade Your Viewing Experience
It's amazing when you think of how far technology has come. It was only just a joke when Ralph Kramden told his wife Alice that the reason he wouldn't buy a TV is because he was waiting for 3D television.
As funny as that was at the time, today it is a reality and with the size of television screens increasing to phenominal proportions, it's no wonder that people want to by flat screen TV's.
If you don't yet own your own flat screen television, how much longer do you think you can go on looking at your old 32" before you decide to upgrade?
Today's flat screen technology is capable of providing the user with an incredible viewing experience that can only be topped by going to a movie theatre.
Types of Flat Screen TV's
There are three popular types of flat screen TV's that are available:
1. Liquid Crystal Display (LCD)
2. Plasma
3. Light Emitting Diode (LED)
Each of these types of televisions has the ability to produce crisp and clear colors that will make you feel as though you've just been cast in the latest hit movie.
LCD TV's have a tendency show a blurry picture in high action scenes that involve a lot of fast movement and the average life span of LCD TV's is approximately 30 to 70 thousand hours.
Plasma TV's are very good at depicting low light and shadow areas and have an average life span of approximately 50 to 90 thousand hours. They are also a bit on the heavy side.
LED TV's are a somewhat of a happy medium between LCD and Plasma TV's.
It's good to take into consideration who will be watching the flatscreen TV you decide to buy as this will help with the decision to buy one that comes with internet connectivity and whether or not that is of major importance or not.
Also depending on the room that you will be watching your television in can also help in determining whether or not you'll need to purchase home theater equipment or if the sound from the TV itself is enough.
Regardless of what you decide, the difference between a 52" inch projection screen TV and a 52" flat screen HD TV is like night and day.
