Fire Pits Are Becoming More Popular

Outdoor dining is a rare pleasure for many of us living in the UK. We love the thought of being able to cook and eat outdoors, but it's often far too cold. No matter how hard we try, we simply can't spend as much time dining outdoors as we might like.

We've imported the whole idea of barbecue cooking from Australia, of course. Our Australian friends are able to benefit from a much more pleasant climate. They have the guarantee of many warm, sunny days.

One of the problems that we face is that our outdoor dinner parties are often cut short too. It may be warm enough in the middle of the afternoon, but temperatures soon start to dip once the sun lowers in the sky.

This probably helps to explain the increasing popularity of fire pits. You may well have spotted them appearing in more and more gardens. These handy garden accessories are perfect if you want to do a spot of outdoor cooking. But they also have a key advantage when compared to barbecues.

The fact is that fire pits simply look better. Contemporary models, in particular, create a real impression. As a result, we're happy to use a fire pit as a focal point in the garden. This is a really important difference.

There's something particularly pleasant about gathering round the open fire. We can keep warm and enjoy the company of our friends for longer. This is surely one of the main reasons why fire pits are proving to be such a hit.

By enabling us to spend more time outdoors, without feeling cold and grumpy, they are transforming the way that we approach outdoor dining and hospitality. Many will hope that this trend continues.
