How to Shake the Winter Blues by Watching Movies
One of the big things that I hear people sale that causes the winter blues, is there is nothing to do in the winter months. Ask them, why not just watch a nice show or move on TV and you hear, there's nothing good ever on. I say you can easily change that whenever you desire to do so. A favorite time to sit and watch TV, is when you are alone or bored, and have nothing to do.
Now if you are a person who always does have trouble finding something enjoyable to watch, then there are some simple steps you can take to remedy this problem. You can go to a local video rental store and pick out a nice movie to watch, or find a couple of them to sit back and enjoy. Do this two or three nights a week, and you can find it a very enjoyable pastime, to pass the winter months.
Now you don't even have to venture outside your home in the winter if you cannot get out, or don't have a vehicle or way to get to a video store. Simply go online and join a home movie delivery service such as Netflix or some other movie club. At these places you not only have movies delivered, but you can keep them for as long as you want, and they even come with postage paid envelopes to mail them back, so all you have to do is place them in your mailbox to send them back.
There are so many selections of movies to watch, you can never get bored of them, if you have never seen some of the great classics like Gone with the wind, or The Great Escape, the winter months are some of the best times to sit back and enjoy these classics. And don't forget all of the older Christmas classics like: "It's a wonderful life" and "A Christmas Story". I have always been a fan of the older Hammer horror films, starring Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee. Some of these older horror movies I have seen over 10 times each, and I never get tired of them.
So there you have it, shake the winter blues this year by watching some great movies at home, and oh yea, don't forget the popcorn.
